The PUD shall purchase power from an eligible facility at a rate equal to the energy component of the retail rate at which the PUD provides electrical service to the facility. the customer shall receive a credit for all electric energy produced during a billing period in excess of the amount of electric energy supplied by the PUD during that period, such credit to be applied to the customer’s future electric bills. On March 31 of any calendar year shall be zeroed out with no further liability to the PUD and no credit to the customer for that balance.

Electric Service Reqs
  • Meters and Service Entrance Equipment Requirements: Section 5 Meters and Service Entrance Equipment (snopud.com)
Install Reqs
  • Customer is required to supply, install and maintain meter mounting equipment
  • Metering shall not be mounted on district poles, padmount transformers or transclosures.
  • No customer owned equipment may be installed between the meter mounting equipment and a district meter
Placards
  • Meters must be permanently labeled “Net Meter” in compliance with ESR.
  • Use engraved phenolic labels with plain block letters or numbers on a contrasting background.
  • Letters must be at least ½" (12.7 mm) tall unless larger size is required.
  • Labels must clearly indicate the unit served by each meter.
  • Place labels so they are readily visible and do not cover existing printed or labeled information.
  • Attach labels smoothly with no overlaps, protrusions, or sharp edges.
  • Do not place labels over existing phenolic labels.
  • Labels may have self-adhesive backs, but must also be secured with at least 2 pop-rivets or screws (larger labels: at least 4).
  • All labels must be installed and secured before acceptance.
  • Exercise caution when drilling or installing fasteners to avoid contact with conductors.
