Net Excess Generation Notes

The customer shall receive a credit for all electric energy produced by the customer on the premises which is fed back into the city’s electric distribution system during a billing period in excess of the amount of electric energy supplied by the city during that billing period, with such credit applied to the customer’s future Electric bills, except that any electric energy credit balance remaining in favor of the customer at the time of their March billing each year shall be zeroed out with no further liability to the city and no credit to the customer for said balance.

SLD Reqs

Electrical Service Panel

Include the panel or main breaker size and the position at which generation is connected.

Show all panels (if there are multiple panels or subpanels) Even if they are not directly connected into the generation system.

Utility Service Meter

Include existing meter serial number, meter form and class

PV system Output Meter Base (Production Meter)

Must be located within 5' of Utility Service Meter.

For a 6000 Inverter please use a 40A 2P Breaker. There is a shortage of 35A Breakers - 11.23.20

Electric Service Reqs

Stand-alone meters must receive an MPU in Utah

AC Disconnect

The customer shall be required to install a manual disconnect located within ten (10) feet of the meter.

UL-approved safety disconnect switch which shall be capable of fully disconnecting the Customer’s generating facility from the Lehi City Power’s electric system.

The disconnect switch shall be located adjacent to the Lehi City Power’s meters and shall be of the visible break type in a metal enclosure which can be secured by a padlock.

The disconnect switch shall be accessible to Lehi City Power personnel at all times.

Production Meter

Customer shall furnish and install the Generating Output Meter base within 5 feet of the Meter

This meter shall be Electrically Located in order to record all power produced by the renewable system.

Placards

Meter or Transformer Pole:

Meter and transformer or transformer pole serving the Customer-Generator shall be labeled to indicate potential electric current back feed.

Service Panel

Customer’s over-current device at the service panel shall be marked to indicate power source and connection to the Lehi City Power’s distribution system.
