Plans & docs

SLD Reqs
  • Surge protection device required in the MSP (similar to AE) for the Lightning Arrester
  • The Neutral must be isolated in the Disconnect and Meter Socket with Polaris tap or isolated neutral block.
  • Two disconnects are required. One rated for DC and one rated for AC.
Install Reqs

The Neutral must be isolated in the Disconnect and Meter Socket with Polaris tap or isolated neutral block.

The actual metering equipment required, its voltage rating, number of phases and wires, size, current transformers, number of input and associated memory is dependent upon the type, size and location of the electric service provided. This metering is based on GUS rates and standards.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with GUS - Georgetown Utility Systems before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
