If the premises uses more city provided electricity than the DER system produces within a single billing month, the customer shall pay for the net kWh of electricity at the current standard per kWh rate charged by the city to residential customers. If the DER system produces more electricity than city provided electricity within a single billing month, no purchase of excess electricity shall be made by the city, nor any credit given to the customer for such excess electricity produced by the DER system.
