• Duke Energy Carolinas offers a monthly capacity limit of 1,200 kW and Duke Energy Progress offers a monthly capacity limit of 300 kW. When capacity limits are met, any additional applications for the month will be withdrawn. A new application can be submitted the following month, but there is no guarantee the capacity will be available.
• Available or allocated capacity will be published on our website on the 15th of the month starting June 15, 2021. When allocated monthly capacity is met, the webpage will be updated.
• Excess energy shall be used to reduce electricity delivered and billed by Duke Energy. Any net excess energy will be compensated at the tariffed amount on the following month’s bill.
• Customers may choose to remain on their current rate schedule or elect to be served under Residential Service, Solar Time-of-Use (R-STOU). Customers who remain on their current rate schedule will be billed a non-bypassable charge per month, per kW.
