Net Excess Generation Notes

Generation is credited back to the member at the same residential rate they purchase power at. Any excess generated kWh is held in a bank until the end of the year. If the banked kWh level is predicted to be used up in the next few months, we roll the bank over to the next calendar year. If the bank is slightly more than what the member could use, we pay it out at whatever the current avoided cost is.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Warren Electric Cooperative before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
