Customers will be credited monthly for the kilowatt hours generated and recorded on the meter provided. The credit will be calculated by determining the number of kilowatt hours generated multiplied by the cooperative’s residential generation rate. If member accumulates an annual credit greater than $50, a payment will be made to member in May of each year.

Residential Solar limit is 20kW DC nameplate.
If you push the 20kW limit, the transformer may need to be upgraded and that would cost approx.. $2000.00. With roughly 300 systems we haven’t had to upgrade a residential transformer to accommodate solar. Almost all of the residential solar is less than 10kW.

- The licensed electrician must call the local office for permission to pull the meter if needed. If they fail to do so and pull a meter without prior permission, the member will incur a $100 meter tampering fee. If the transformer needs to be relayed both off and subsequently back on, the member will incur two regular service call fees at $85 each. This is very rarely needed.

Need to see entire electrical path from the array to the grid. We do require a pull-down disconnect close to the meter base. If meter is pole-mounted away from the house, we will have to discuss.
