Kilowatt-hours produced by the QF in excess of the monthly usage shall be supplied as an energy credit on the member’s energy bill, carried forward and
applied to subsequent energy bills, with an annual true-up on December 31. Excess energy credits existing as of December 31 shall default back to ECE with

- Utility Specific Adjustments
- The 120% offset rule does not apply to systems under 40 kW AC if the customer is not applying for the rebate.
- To connect a proposed distributed energy resource (DER) to a radial distribution circuit, the total generation, including the new DER, must not exceed 15% of the highest peak load or 100% of the minimum aggregated load at the substation. A line section is defined as the part of the electric system serving a customer, bounded by automatic disconnects or the distribution line's end. The Area Electric Power System Operator may use 100% of the relevant loading, such as the lowest daytime load for solar, if available.

AC Disconnect
- 24 hr access to PM and AC disco required
- Requested to be located within 10 feet of the main service meter.
- If the Utility AC Disconnect is not located within 10 feet of the main service meter, a variance is available with utility approval.
- SLD Reqs
Relay Meter Orientation = Under/Over
Conditional Stamps
- If 20 kW or larger: One line must be stamped by a PE

All signage and labeling shall meet applicable NEC requirements including NEC 110.21 (B), 690.13 and 750.10
AC Disconnect
- Labeled as “UTILITY AC DISCONNECT”
- If the Utility AC Disconnect is over 10 feet from the main service meter, place a waterproof sign within 10 feet of the meter. The sign should include a simple map showing the Disconnect's location.
- If a Utility AC Disconnect cannot turn off all Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), each disconnect should be numbered (e.g., “UTILITY DER AC DISCONNECT 1 OF 2”) to indicate how many are needed for a complete disconnection. A waterproof sign must be placed within 10 feet of the main service meter, showing the numbers and locations of the Utility AC Disconnects.
Production Meter
- The production meter shall be labeled as “DER PRODUCTION METER” or similar. If there are multiple DER types present at a location the production meter shall indicate the type of DER behind the meter.
