Metering & disconnect
- Meter Spot Process
TDR Process "You would need to call customer service at to request a disconnect /reconnect work request. The service man would require an inspection before it would be reconnected. If it is for solar they would require that an application was submitted for solar and approved. When the lines service coordinator call to schedule the disconnect you can find this out.
The request will be made right away when you call in but the scheduling depends on what their work load is at the time?"

Plans & docs
- Site Plan Reqs
See Sample Site Plan
- SLD Reqs
- Two manual-operated, unitized load-break disconnect switches located near the POI are required.
- AC Disconnects must be installed 3 ft. from the meter base. If multiple disconnects are used, IE: Battery and PV, then both must be within 3ft of meter. Show or note the distance on plans
- Your generating facility must include a UL listed AC disconnect switch that provides a visible break, is lockable in the open position, and is located between the production meter and the sub-panel or other connection to the generating facility
- See SLD Sample
TAPS
- Taps not allowed in meter main combo panels
- Electric Service Reqs
Transformer Upgrade Requirements "Upgrades are not common, but it can happen. The most common upgrades are when the generation exceeds the transformer limit and a new transformer needs to be installed. High voltage could also be identified but rare.
Once an accommodation has been identified, the process goes through PowerClerk to get a work order created. Then the local ops center will work with either the contractor or customer. The cost can be billed to either the contractor or customer and who pays for it can be decided through the local office.
You do have an option to downsize to avoid the upgrade. You will need to change the information on the application. If the application has been approved, we will need to send it back to engineering review to get approval on the new information. Engineering review can typically take up to 10 business days
