Net Excess Generation Notes

For any given hour, if the electricity generated by the Member's Distributed Generation Facility exceeds the electricity consumed by the Net Billing Customer, then Excess Net Energy is available to the Cooperative.

The sum of all Excess Net Energy during the Billing Period shall be purchased by the Cooperative at the rate and under the conditions as provided under the Energy Purchase Rate of the Cooperative's Distributed Generation Net Billing Service Rider.

Distributed Generation Facility used by a residential customer shall not exceed a nominal 10 kW and the capacity of a Distributed Generation Facility used by a non-residential customer.

Site Plan Reqs

Disconnect should be spaced far enough from meter base to allow safe opening and closing of meter base, but no more than 6 ft. away from meter base.

SLD Reqs
  • Production Meter is not required.
  • The one-line diagram must show, at minimum, any devices such as the service panel, disconnect switch, inverters, all generators, circuit breakers, etc. associated with the application's generating facilities and its interconnection to Satilla REMC's distribution system.
Placards

All devices must be labeled with the electrical ratings (amps, volts, etc.) in accordance with the latest version of the NEC.
