Net Excess Generation Notes

We do a 1 to 1 credit for kWh generated and kWh needed from us. The excess generation that is not used by our members is purchased back monthly at our avoided cost rate or $0.0222 per kWh. i.e. If the net meter generates 1000 kWh in one month and the member used 1000 kWh from us then they'd have a zero energy charge. However, if they generate 1000 kWh and only use 550 kWh in one month then we will buy back their excess generation of 450 kWh at 2.22 cents per kWh. So they'd get a $9.99 credit on that month's bill. The monthly customer charge for net metering is $29.85 a month.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Moon Lake Electric DEN before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
