SSVEC’s Standard Residential Service Rate in 2023 is10.3163 cents per kWh. If you install a solar system, you are moved to a Distributed Generation(DG) Rate with a monthly service fee of $30.00 and a $2.70 metering fee. However, the cost to purchase a kWh is discounted from $0.103163 to 8.026cents per kWh. The year the system is installed also sets the value (Export Rate) of any energy the system sends to the grid. When your home can not use the energy produced by the solar system, the excess energy transfers to the grid, and you receive a credit for it. If you install a solar system in 2023 the Export Rate is 4.131cents per kWh sent to the grid. This rate is “locked” for ten years based on the date you connected the system. At the end of that time, your new export rate will be determined and approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC). Beyond 2023 the export rate will be updated annually based on those ACC calculations
