- Net Excess Generation Notes
WEC takes the kilowatt hour (kWh) that is produced from the renewable generation and subtract it from the total energy usage (kWh). If the customer produces more than consumes for the month, any remainder is carried over and applied to the next month’s bill. The excess generation will continue to accumulate until the credit is utilized or after $100 or more has accumulated in a 24 month period at the avoided cost rate.
