There are required setbacks. The ground mounted solar arrays are subject to the same setbacks required for accessory structures. The setbacks are not uniform for every property, so you need to consult with this office during the planning process. Ground mounted solar arrays are treated as an accessory structure, so they count towards the maximum allowable square footage of accessory structures allowed on any parcel. The overall square footage of the array would be required and the total square footage of accessory structures after the solar array installation cannot exceed the maximum allowable square footage for the parcel.
