Batteries must be mounted inside:

1. If mounting in garage must install fire rated drywall behind it and above it (3’ on either side and 3’ out from the front face of the battery minimum)
2. If mounted in the home and not in a living quarters must be mounted on a fireproof surface with fire rated drywall above it(3’ on either side and 3’ out from the front face of the battery minimum)
3. Cannot be mounted in a living quarters. In order to do so we must build a fireproof surface rated room around it.

• All circumstances require heat detectors be hardwired to existing smoke detectors in the home.

• Electrical stamp required
• Note on ELD and site plan stating "PER 2023 NFPA 855 GUIDELINES"
• ESS disconnect must be grouped with other disconnects

Temp Correction factor needs to show: .94 from Inverter to Disconnect

.71 from JB to Inverter

For derating conductors change from 1 to .71 if running in the attic or .58 if on roof
