Plan Set Requirements

AHJ requires 2 pictures of the MSP and 2 pictures of the utility meter on the plans:

  • MSP - 1 with deadfront on, and one with deadfront off
  • Utility meter - Close up of meter enclosure, and pull back of meter area

TAPS

  • Per 2020 NEC 705.11(C)(1); 690.9A(3) When the electrical panel is not back-to-back with the electrical meter, a fused disconnect will be required to be located adjacent to the main breaker panel within 10 feet for line side taps
  • The line side tap conductors shall be in EMT conduit. This requirement is in addition to the required PV AC disconnect located by the utility meter.
