General Guidelines
- Digital Stamps: SE/EE digital stamps are required on all PV plan pages.
- Include a stamped FL Statute & PE Letter/Calcs.
Plan Stamping Instructions
- Ensure plans are stamped, locked, and separated.
- Deliver separate stamped PV pages.
- AHJ-Specific Requirement: Include an EE letter (FL Statute) to bypass FSEC requirements.
Professional Engineer's Verbiage
Each stamped page must include the following:
- "This item has been electronically signed and sealed by [Licensee, PE] on the date and/or time stamp shown using a digital signature."
- "Printed copies of this document are not considered signed and sealed, and the signature must be verified by a 3rd Party Certificate Authority on any electronic copy. FAC 61G15-23.004."
Wind Speed Compliance
- Ensure compliance with WS 145 MPH requirements.
Restamps
- Any restamps must be performed by the same engineer as the original stamp.

Flatten Plans Before Submission
For CAD Users
- Turn off or freeze hatch layers with patterns before flattening.
- Type FLATTEN in the command line.
- Select all objects and press Enter.
- When prompted, type N (No) to avoid removing hidden lines.
- Roof Plan
Roof Coverage Percentage
- Indicate the percentage of roof coverage on the plan set.
Setback Dimensions
- Use the percentage to calculate and clearly identify the required setback dimensions at the ridge on the plan set, following FBC R324.6.2.

All Jobs [The 3' FSB can be adjusted in the field around hips or valleys to accommodate the total of 3' needed]
- Electrical Diagram
For All Jobs
1) EGC in Raceway:
- Include an Equipment Grounding Conductor (EGC) in the raceway between the existing panel and the new AC disconnect (feeder taps).
- Size the EGC based on the overcurrent device rating ahead of the feeder (NEC 250.86, 250.122(G), 2017 Edition).
2) Line Diagram:
- For Hot Bus POI, show all existing breakers with amperage ratings.
3) New OCPD Requirement:
- If the POI is in a Meter/Main Combo and the sub-panel is over 25 feet away from the MSP, add a new OCPD (MBE) outside the MSP to protect feeders for the sub-panel (NEC 705.12(B)(2), NEC 240.21).
Line/Load Side Taps
1) GEC Requirements
- Specify #8 GEC, bare copper, free air, bonded at the existing ufer from AC disconnect to the ufer.
2) Conductor Limitations
- Only three wires can be connected to the MSP.
- The bare copper ground must run to the ufer (Refer to attachment: Grounding Example for Supply Side Tap).
3) Grounding Conductor in Service Raceways
- Do not install grounding conductor in service raceways to avoid creating a parallel neutral and ground, which could cause objectionable current flow
4) Line Side Tap Grounding
- For line side taps, the ground must run in free air as bare copper to the existing ufer tie-in.
