Plan set
- Plan Set Requirements
Plans are required to specify and show existing roof framing (i.e. 2 x 4 engineered trusses @ 24oc, 2 x 6 DF#2 rafters @ 16oc w/14¸4span) and roofing material. Residential roof with engineered trusses are not required to have additional engineering. Conventionally framed roofs will have the rafter spans verified against 2013 CRC, Table R802.5.1 (1). Projects with existing over-spanned rafters will require a separate building permit for the structural reinforcement of the existing roof structure to support the additional loads from the photovoltaic system. Plans, detail and structural design calculations shall be prepared by an Architect or Professional Engineer, licensed in the State of California. Include fire setback dimensions
- Site
MPUs * Site plan should show OLD MSP location, OLD MSP amperage, NEW MPU amperage, and NEW MPU Location. (See _MPU Site Plan Example_ in files section)

PV generation meter required If Lodi Electric utility, INVERTER > DISCO > PROD METER MPU: Plans should show current panel location and proposed location of new panel (even if same) Plans should show current panel amperage and proposed amperage of new panel The 120% rule is allowed when the utility main breaker and the PV breaker are at the opposite ends of the busbar, per 2016 CEC, Article 705.12 (D)(2)(b). Center fed panels cannot exceed 100% of the busbar rating unless engineer design calculations with fault studies and busbar load calculations are provided per 2016 CEC, Article 705.12 (D)(2)(d).
